We thought we found a mechanic but turned out to be a scammer. I have a 2007 Malibu and the power steering went out when I was letting a friend borrow it to get back and forth to work because her car died. I knew it had a power steering fluid leak but it would humm when I turned the wheel and my husband would add more fluid and the sound would stop. It never locked up like this before because we added the fluid as soon as I heard it making that sound.We told her to listen for it,,apparently not. It also has an oil leak but my husband constantly checked that. So she was able to pull it into the driveway. I was hoping it was just a hose in the steering. After sitting there for about a week, I told my husband we should start it up every now and then so my husband popped open to hood to look for where the steering leak was coming from. I got in and it started right up. He told me he wasn't ready and to turn it off. When he told me to start it up again....nothing! Just one "click" each time I tried. The battery is less than a year old and we tried jumping it but just did the same thing..."click" ,so...help! It's my only vehicle and my husband can't always leave work to take me to my doctor appointments I'm on disability so we can't afford a big mechanic bill. We live in the Plaza area of Virginia Beach by Plaza elementary school.
