I would like help soundproofing my basement.  The primary focus will be the ceiling.  This would include taking down the ceiling drywall, spray foam insulation, hat channels, and multiple layers of soundproofing (3/4”) drywall, and/or whatever the contractor recommends for the area.  Most of the noise is coming from the kitchen upstairs (walking, dropping things on a hardwood floor, which is directly above the basement area).  Seeking assistance from people with experience soundproofing rooms.
