I'm looking to hire someone to install 16 ceiling lights.  I will supply the lights.  I'm willing to pay $50.00 per light or $800 total for the job.  The job is in the basement of my home so the ceiling is 8 feet.  It's one day job as I've done this before.  So if you know what you are doing, you can do the job in one day.  There will be 5 lights in one bedroom, 5 lights in the living room, 2 lights in the entry and 4 lights in the kitchen. I'd want the lights installed in alignment and measured equidistant from each other so that it looks nice.  You will also install 4 dimmable light switches to operate the lights.  Please don't contact me if you have never done this before. I'd want at least 2 references that I can call to verify your work ethic.
