Outdoor propane heater won’t stay lit

We have a stand up outdoor propane heater.  The heater lights, but as soon as you try to adjust flame down, it’s just goes off..  It only stays on when the  knob is pushed in. I tried cleaning thermocoupler.

I need a LICENSED appliances technician

My built-in microwave was installed in 2022, but the house remained unoccupied until June 2024. The microwave has been in use since then without any issues until recently.
