Gig Description
I am seeking a qualified contractor to replace my existing water heater. This project includes:
- Remove and dispose of the existing natural gas water heater (50-gallon) located in our pantry (1st floor).
- Disconnect the existing exhaust system associated with the natural gas water heater.
- Install an 80 gallon hybrid heat pump water heater, A.O. Smith Hybrid Water Heater (model HPA10-80H45DV) or equivalent Rheem in the same location.
- Reconnect the existing recirculation system to the new hot water heater.
- Replace the current expansion tank with a new one, ensuring proper sizing and functionality.
- Install any necessary check valves to ensure proper flow and system protection.
- Run 240V 30A electric hookup to existing 3 x 200 amp panels with ample capacity that are located approximately 15 feet from the water heater
- Cap the existing natural gas line feeding the current water heater, in compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
- Ensure the new installation is properly connected to all existing water, electrical, and recirculation systems, with any necessary adjustments for compatibility with the hybrid system.
- Inspect and ensure proper ventilation and clearance for the new unit, adhering to manufacturer recommendations.
- Provide any required permits and comply with local building codes and regulations.
- Provide a breakdown of materials cost and labor cost.
