My 2017 Hyundai Elantra appears to have a blown engine. It is at the dealership now and they quoted me about $8,000 to replace it. I think it may have happened because I didn’t change the oil often enough. I’m not convinced that their price is fair and have been looking for a non-dealership mechanic for a long time.   I’d like to know if they are being truthful and if so, would another company be able to service my car.
