Find root cause and fix water leak under office carpet

A few weeks ago, I noticed a damp spot in my office. There are no pipes or drainage around the area, and there is no obvious source for a leak. Since the spot hasn't dried in three weeks, I suspect groundwater or a pipe in the adjacent wall is leaking in the subflooring and pooling in this one spot. My biggest concern is that mold could develop over time. The carpet is 10 years old and can be ripped up without concern. I support Black Businesses.
