Handyman to help with garage door and electric fireplace

In need of a handyman to help with garage door and electric fireplace. Two separate issues. Our Garage door seems to be “catching” all of sudden. It’s very loud and because of the catch, shakes so badly that we are scared it’s going to pull off the ceiling or break entirely. Not sure what exactly happened with it. It works, but not well/smoothly. Our electric fireplace works, some of the time. We are just curious if one of the pieces is going bad or something as to why we can’t get it to consistently light.
